One of the most critical pieces of a nonprofit website is a way for folks to interact and support your organization. There are many tools out there to help you create forms, manage supports and communicate, with a variety of features and price points.
If you are just starting out, have basic needs or are looking for tools we recommend, we've put together a list of our favorite platforms that allow you to get set up easily with little to no interaction from skilled web developers (like us!) although we are always happy to answer questions. Give Lively
Give Lively is a free option (that's right FREE) that is a great fit if you are looking for a fundraising specific platform that includes support for donation forms, P2P and events management. The least customizable out of the recommendations listed, Give Lively comes with several templates that create engaging, custom looking landing pages and are easily integrated into your WordPress site.
Who is this good for? You want a centralized fundraising platform and don't have custom needs in terms of look or functionality and cost is of a high consideration when selecting a platform.
Action Network
Action Network is the most customizable as it supports custom CSS and Javascript (as a paid partner), while still being entry level and priced well. Action Network focuses on form management, with support for donation, advocacy, events and sign up forms, as well as email and text marketing to help you communicate with your supporters. Their integration with Wordpress is great as well so you can present a seamless digital presence.
Who is this good for? You want a way to manage supporter activity around advocacy based interactions and communicate with them. You may have some custom look or functionality needs, but still need to keep the cost low.
Network for Good
Network for Good is a good alternative to Action Network if your organization is more focused on donor relationships and cultivation as opposed to advocacy. Offering a robust constituent management system and elevated events management platform that supports registration and auction hosting, their out of the box templates offer a way to get pages created quickly, however offer limited options when it comes to customizations outside of these templates.
Who is this good for? You want a way to manage supporters in all aspects of how they interact with your organization utilizing a true CRM, and have a strong focus on donations and events, but your needs are straightforward when it comes to the look and function of your pages.
Keap
Keap is best for those whose focus is e-commerce, sign-up forms and marketing, while still being lower priced than some enterprise level tools that offer these features.
Who is this good for? Your organization has a focus more on e-commerce and wants to be able to manage supporters like customers, with robust marketing and constituent management tools to track their engagement and communicate with them.
DonorBox
Who is this good for? Donorbox is great for nonprofits and charities of all sizes that are looking for a flexible fundraising platform. Gravity Forms
If you are just in need of a simple donation form, we can also set you up with a donation form managed in your WordPress site using Gravity Forms and a payment processor like Authorize.net, PayPal or Stripe. Who is this good for? You need just one or two donation forms and don't want to have to manage another system outside of your website.
