We install a Broken Link Checker plugin on all supported client sites by request.
This plugin checks existing links throughout your site, then generates a report listing any links with issues. It allows users to edit, unlink, and fix broken links directly from the dashboard.
By default, we do not leave this plugin on live sites, as it is very resource intensive and can slow down performance. We will typically turn this on for periodic checks or on a staging site. It's good to review the Broken Link Checker reports regularly, since broken links in your web content can lead to problems with your SEO and search ranking.
